If you have an intermediate or bachelor’s degree in English and English is the language of instruction at your institution, you do not need to present the language certificate. Otherwise, the following English proficiency certifications are acceptable for courses offered in English at Hungarian universities:

Types of Study Visas for Hungary for Pakistanis:

Hungary offers two different categories of student visas (C type and D type):                      

• 1: 90-Day Study Period (C Type Visa):

If a Pakistani national’s study program or diploma expires within 90 days, they must apply for a type C-visa.

• 2: Study Programs Longer Than 90 Days (D Type Visa):

Pakistani students must apply for a D-Type visa if their study programs are longer than 90 days in length.  You can enter Hungary with a D-type visa, but you must apply for a residence permit within 30 days after arriving.

• National Passport (must be valid for at least 18 months, although it is preferable if it is valid till the end of your studies.)
• Two recent passport-size photos.
• An original acceptance letter from the Hungarian university.
• A bank receipt for the transfer of tuition fees.
• A confirmation of an airline reservation or ticket purchase.
• A bank statement for the last six months totaling 35,000 HUF.
• Educational records attested by the IBCC, HEC, and MOFA.
• A clearance certificate from the police department.
• Travel insurance, if provided by the university (some universities send a certificate of insurance along with an acceptance letter).

Note: Embassy only accepts original documentation; therefore, bring all of your original documents, along with copies, if necessary, when you visit the embassy.

The first thing you must do after receiving an acceptance letter from a university or institution is schedule a meeting with the consulate. The dates of the consular meetings are limited. Within three to four weeks, it will be your turn. Depending on how quickly your documents and interviews are completed, processing your visa could take 1 to 4 weeks. To avoid delays, apply as soon as you can.
